We're ALIVE!!!

I promise we are living, (if you call no longer having a working computer, living). Let me just fill in for you all that we've been up to since our last blog. We've celebrated all of our kids birthdays, so they are a year older and wiser. Braxton is 3, Kyson is 2, Beau is 1. We built a house and have been living there since May. I turned 25! Oh my gosh, a quarter of a century. . . it hurts :( We got Max, our maltese, back; and also adopted a boy named Kevin. (Whoa, whoa, whoa, before you freak maybe I should tell you that Kevin is a boxer puppy.) Todd finished his FTO with Unified Police Department and is assigned to Riverton City. We're so proud of him! Our schedules coordinate perfectly, so we rarely have to ask anyone to watch the kids. Though our kids are usually with either mom or dad, Todd and I only spend quality time together on the weekends, but what do you do? Beau is walking, Braxton is arguing, and Kyson is potty training. Life is busy, crazy, wonderful, but it's ours and we love every minute of it.
PS: Next goal? A computer! :)

Who falls asleep sitting up? . . .

. . .BRAXTON DOES!!! :)

We told him to go to his bed and take a nap. He stubbornly declined, and was literally falling asleep on his chair! It was hilarious! (That's his dad laughing in the background.)

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

So I'm probably the worst blogger EVER! Whoa. . . before you pull out the torches and pitchforks, let me give you an update, so we can end this year with a BANG! . . .

Braxton argues with me about every little thing. My favorite new phrase when dealing with him is "Because I'm the mom and I said so!" Sniff, sob, sniff. Who knew I would be living with a tiny teenager already. The time goes by so fast. I can't believe he'll be 3 next month. But really, he's a great kid. He's very loving, and very sensitive to people's feelings. So SMART you wouldn't even believe. Seriously, just talk to him and he'll steal your heart. Everyone who comes into contact with him, just can't get enough. He's hilarious. He definitely has a way with people. Can't you just see his personality shining through in this picture? He's so much fun!Kyson is talking up a storm. I tell him to go to bed and he tells me "No mom." Clear as day. Ha ha! He is so polite though. He says please and thank you more than any kid I know. He is such a sweetheart. He's always telling me he loves me and when he wakes up from a nap he tells me he misses me. He loves to play with cars, watch shows, read books, and wrestle with his older brother and his dad. . . and okay, let's face it,even his mom!!! He definitely is in this momma's boy stage, and although it can be hard sometimes when I've got another small baby, I LOVE that Kyson needs me. He's got an angel's face, and people always say he should model for Baby Gap or something.
Beau is crawling everywhere ,and pulling up on furniture which scares me a little bit. He's too little :( He's also sitting up, eating solid foods, and mouthing off :) Okay so maybe I lied about that last part, but I know he will be soon enough! He does have a bit of an attitude sometimes, especially if it's time for bed. I'm serious. We put him in bed for the night, and when we finally lay down ourselves, and get settled and are almost asleep, he starts crying. It never fails. And his cry is an ear piercing, nails on a chalk board kind of cry. OOOHHH it hurts even talking about it. Ha ha ha! But he's a sweet baby and we love him to pieces. He'll probably be walking before we know it.
-Todd just got a 12 hour day shift at the prison! Yay!!! He's also doing an AMAZING job on FTO with the Unified Police Department and is working in Magna and Kearns taking down the bad guys and keeping the peace. (Scary, I know!) He's got some crazy stories! Just ask him. Seriously, he has done more than all the other FTO's combined and they all go to him to hear his stories. He's such a great dad and husband. We are so lucky to have him!!!
-What? Is it my turn? Well, I've just been doing the same old stuff. Working with handicapped people at a day center in Draper (I love my girls!), taking care of my kids, and trying to be a good mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor! Wow! I'm still doing the stuff I love, whenever I get a chance, like: writing, drawing, reading, singing, and taking pictures.
So that's pretty much it. Now I would just like to say goodbye 2009! Hello 2010! Let's get this party started!!! Remember, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. . . that's why it's called the present! . . . No I did not get that from Kung Fu Panda! :)
