MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Yay:)

Our computer has decided to quit working so I am unable to update our blog with any new pictures. (And let me tell you, we've got some fun pictures:) Todd had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas so we waited to open our gifts until yesterday. It was so fun to see the kids rip into their gifts. We got them a small table and chairs so they can sit and color, or eat, or play with their toys. They both absolutely love it. Infact, Braxton wouldn't get off of it for anything last night. They both got a few other toys including a big golden retriever stuffed animal for Kyson (since he's so sweet and cuddly) and a big bulldog stuffed animal for Braxton (since he's such a BEAST)! We have so much fun with our kids, and what great kids they are. They are both growing up so fast, sometimes I wish the time would just slooow dooown for a while. But I know it won't, so we just have to savor every moment we have with eachother.
P.S. Thanks Mom and Dad, and everyone else for making our holiday that much SWEETER! We love you all and hope you had as merry a Christmas as we did.

Impatiently, Anxiously, Infuriatingly, Driving Me Crazy . . . Waiting

I'm so anxious to find out if I'm having a boy or a girl, I can hardly stand it. I keep telling Todd we need to go to one of those fetal studios at the mall, but he just nods and smiles. I guess I'll have to wait until January, but that just seems so far away. It could be due to the fact that it will officially be 2009. Yikes! . . . . . . Ah . . . . . . Well, what's a girl to do? Just accept the inevitable . . . or fight with all she's got? . . . .Hmmm . . . . I guess only time will tell. (You'll know who's won if you see some ultrasound pics before 2009:)

Kyson, Kyson, Kyson! :)

So a few weeks ago I learned a valuable lesson; if your kids are too quiet, they're either getting into trouble, about to get into trouble, or thinking about getting into trouble. Braxton was eating an oreo, and Kyson was playing with some toys. I thought, this might be the time to get caught up on some of the housework, since the kids seemed to be having fun. So I walked into the kitchen and began doing the dishes. I glanced at Braxton as he walked passed me and into his room. I continued my chore and was so pleasantly surprised that Kyson had kept himself entertained for such a long time. I finished the dishes then walked into the living room to see what Kyson was up to. The sight that met me took my breath away. Kyson was covered in oreo. It was all over his face, hands, and body, and he didn't stop there. He persisted to rub the oreos into the carpet as well. I stepped back and took a deep breath, and then I grabbed the camera. It was amazing to me, but as soon as I started taking pictures, my anger melted away. I found myself laughing, and I knew this was one of those moments I would never forget. Does he look guilty or what

Trick or Treat

Braxton and his cousin Taya
We had so much fun trick or treating with Grandma

Braxton loved going up to the doors and saying "Trick or treat!!!" But his favorite part was picking out the candy and placing it lovingly into his mouth. Yes, you read that right. Only a few pieces actually made it into his bucket:)

Kyson made a very cute snow monkey, don't you think?

Braxton painted his own pumpkin this year and he took the responsibility very seriously, as you can tell by the look of utter concentration on his face :)

Halloween Costume Dilemma

I got the most wonderful idea for my childrens' Halloween costumes this year. I wanted Braxton to be Harry Potter, and Kyson to be Hedwig. My husband, although tolerant of my love for the Harry Potter series, quickly stomped out that idea. However, I was curious as to what Braxton would look like. So I pulled out the eyeliner and drew a lightning bolt on his forehead. Then I threw a pair of Harry Potter glasses on him and . . . viola! He looked so cute. Oh well. Maybe next year :)
But with Halloween only a few days away we did manage to find an alternative. My sister, Jen is letting us borrow a few costumes. So now Kyson will be a monkey and Braxton will be a tiger.

Braxton and Kyson are our handsome little boys.

Kyson and that bottom lip! He sucks on it constantly and it's so adorable. We love this little guy.

We got the kids all ready and attempted our luck at taking pictures. It didn't turn out like we thought but that's okay. Kids will be kids.

Todd and Braxton. Don't they look so much alike?

Todd loves this picture.

This is our family at Todd's graduation from the police academy. He graduated in May and we are so proud of him and all the work he does.
